Seems excessive but it's not. Just space out the testing-one this Sunday, another the next Sunday and another the following Sunday. For best results on your exam, do the practice tests (a different one each time) 4 times before you take the SAT.

The day before the test should not be spent cramming for the SAT. Make sure that you get enough rest. My daughter saw a guy doze of during the SAT. I would hate to see what his score was. Take a little snack with you the day of the test for energy since you will have a brief break which will be long enough for you to do this.

Be rested and be confident the day of the test. As long as you have been paying attention to vocabulary words (Jerome Shostak's series is great and you can find it on Amazon) and to your algebra and geometry, you should do well. The SAT will work for you if you have been keeping up with grammmar too. It's one of the easiest parts of the SAT if you learn those rules. If you took the PSAT then use the score report to work on your weaknesses and improve your strengths.
And remember life goes on after the SAT--high score or not.Use this link to get great books and more from Alibris.

These all have something in common for me. My home schooled daughter, who had only taken the PSAT as her very first standardized test, got a scholarship. She took the SAT just one time, and, after coaching her before the SAT, she scored well. Her scholarship covers tuition only and room and board. Her first year, she had money left over to buy a brand new Toshiba laptop and a brand new Kodak digital camera with video. Of course, she bought books, supplies and new clothes, too, with the leftover money. I almost forgot to tell you that she even bought a used white Toyota Corolla. Had she taken the ACT, I am completely sure that she would have had the same results. Why I am I so certain? I was her tutor for the SAT. She didn’t go to Princeton Review courses or to Kaplan. Kaplan was too expensive for me, so I never even considered even calling them. The SAT and the ACT are the second highest deciding factor that college admissions officers use in admissions selection. High school grades are number one before SAT and ACT scores. Since the SAT (or ACT, depending upon where your child wants to go to college) is so important, what do you do if Kaplan tutoring is financially out of reach. What if the Kaplan tutoring center is too far away from your residence and your child’s high school?

Tutoring for the SAT can be done right in your own home. Or if you don’t want to be the tutor or don’t have the time, you can get someone else to train with my methodology. Then that person, who doesn’t need a teaching certificate or even a college degree, can tutor/coach your child for the SAT/ACT. One of the major factors in excelling on tests, including entrance exams and placement exams is motivation. This was also a part of my special training methodology.

If you are just hearing about this for the first time, go to http://www.myspace.com/seekingthebest to read all of my blogs.

Beginning Sept. 21, my blogs will be at http://tutorcoachingforsatandact.blogspot.com. As always, my blogs feature fresh new content, sometimes video, and sometimes a little SAT and ACT test preparation material.

SPECIAL OFFER:

I can design a tailor-made package (in digital form) of SAT verbal content material using your child’s favorite you tube episodes (Naruto, Family Guy, Bleach, etc.) or favorite celebrities (the Jonas Brothers, Jessica Alba, Chris Brown, Rihanna, etc.) for only $159.00. But through Sept. 22, 2008, I will create an SAT/ACT verbal content material package for you for only $69.00. No one else is doing what I’m doing with SAT content in the test preparation industry! This material is customized to appeal to your child’s interests to keep him engaged and enthusiastic.

You know this price is a steal when you go to Kaplan’s website and see that their least expensive ACT or SAT tutorial course is $399.00.

You will also get strategies for improving test taking skills on the math and verbal sections. I will only do this for the first 25 people to send me an email and then pay through Paypal. In your email, the subject line should say “SAT verbal content + (your choice of) either celebrities or you tube videos that you know your son or daughter loves.

Convenient payment plan option

You can make two (2) payments of $34.50 if you choose. Just mention the two payment option in the Paypal invoice. The first payment must be made by Sept. 22, 2008. The second payment would be due on Sept. 29, 2008.

Remember, I am only offering this for only $69.00 for the first 25 people who respond by Monday Sept. 22, 2008.

How to order

Go to Paypal (www.paypal.com)and sign in if you have an account and just type in my email address after clicking send money.

Make one payment of $69.00 if paying before Sept. 23, 2008. You can also use the payment option described above and make two payments of $34.50.
